Another wind farm company is looking at our area.
Northwest Ohio Wind Energy LLC will hold a public informational meeting at 6pm on April 9 at Wayne Trace High School.
Northwest Ohio Wind Energy wants to build around 50 wind turbines to the west and east of U.S. 127. The project encompasses more than 9,000 acres in Blue Creek and Latty townships, and would connect to the electric grid at AEP-Ohio’s Haviland substation.
The company plans to begin the commercial operation of the farm in three to five years.
