10-Years For Shooting Her Son

A woman from the Delta area who admitted she tried to shoot her teenage son to death was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison.

57 year old Candis Sherman pleaded guilty in January in Fulton County Common Pleas Court, to attempted aggravated murder with a firearms specification.

Sherman admitted in court that she shot Logan Sherman, who was 15 at the time, in their Fulton County home last July 21st.

Sherman said she had planned to kill her son and herself because she had fallen into depression after her estranged husband died and she was struggling financially.
