2016 Budget ready for consideration in Defiance

In news that affects your wal­let, the 2016 bud­get is ready in Defi­ance. Spend­ing this year is bud­geted at 1.7 per­cent higher than this year. Some of the changes include two new full-time employ­ees to work in engi­neer­ing and three per­ma­nent part-time posi­tions in the parks, ceme­tery, and build­ing and lands department.

The City Coun­cil will have it’s first read­ing on Decem­ber 8th, and approval will come on or before Decem­ber 22nd.
