Single SUV crash kills Wauseon woman

In Wauseon on Fri­day, a sin­gle SUV crash killed a dri­ver and seri­ously injured her pas­sen­ger. The vic­tim is iden­ti­fied as 42-year-old Irene Saurez of Wauseon. She crashed on Ful­ton County Road 19 Fri­day morn­ing about 7 a.m. Her pas­sen­ger, 42-year-old Jose Ramirez also of Wauseon, was trans­ported in crit­i­cal con­di­tion to a Toledo hos­pi­tal. Saurez appar­ently over­cor­rected after going off the right side of the road and hit a drainage cul­vert. She was not wear­ing a seat belt and was ejected. She died at the Ful­ton County Health Center.
