Tree program honors lost loved ones

Arbor Day is Friday, and the city is allowing residents to plant a memorial tree in honor of a loved one. The city of Bryan’s Memorial Tree Program, developed by Parks and Rec, goes from April through June, then again in October and November. Residents need to pick up an application at the Bryan Parks and Rec office. The minimum cost for a tree is $100, plus a metal stake and name plate can be added. Trees are planted in a city park. Call Parks and Rec. for more info.
