A follow up on the crash that happened on Thursday that involved a tractor-trailer carrying rolled steel that overturned on U.S. 20. The driver from Michigan was nearly killed when one of the coils smashed through the passenger side of his cab. The Ohio State Highway Patrol supervisor told the Bryan Times that the man was belted in, and that likely saved his life, because otherwise he would have been thrown into the path of the coil and killed. Instead the driver, 63-year-old Morris Hendrick Jr. was treated for minor injuries and sent home. He did get a ticket for losing control of his load, but he no doubt was glad to be alive.
