The Williams County Economic Development Corporation has “four or five” potential projects in its current business development pipeline, WEDCO Executive Director Matt Davis told county commissioners Thursday. The Bryan Times reports according to Davis, the potential projects represent up to 120 new jobs and $50 million to $60 million in new investment. He presented the figures during his quarterly update to commissioners. Davis noted that two companies have recently begun operations in formerly vacant buildings in the county. VRT, a locally owned second-tier manufacturer, mainly of garage door parts, moved into the former APEX building on South Union Street in Bryan earlier this summer.
