The Williams County Board of Developmental Disabilities recommended a number of items, including a recommendation for higher pay for union members, during their regular meeting Monday at the Enrichment Center.
The Bryan Times reports that following an executive session to discuss a collective bargaining agreement, the board voted to recommend the Williams County Board of Commissioners pass a resolution to implement the employers’ last, best and final offer for Local Union #779. The Board’s offer included a 3 percent increase on base wages and the elimination of the wage scale.
Also at Monday’s meeting, Bill Priest of Quadco reported that recently five consumers at Quadco have gotten jobs out in the community. The Subway restaurants now have 15 consumers working in them and operations are smooth at the sheltered workshop setting at Quadco. Preist said the annual picnic in Archbold was a success.
