Disciplinary action may be coming for three Bryan City Schools employees after a 3-year-old student was left on a school bus for four hours on Dec. 8. Following the conclusion of an afternoon bus route, the student was left inside the vehicle at the school’s bus barn, a heated building located next to the Portland Street campus. No medical conditions resulted from the incident, according to the initial police report. The child was found when the driver came back for a later route. When contacted Monday, Bryan City Schools officials expressed concern regarding the situation, but declined to comment in detail pending an ongoing investigation by Bryan Police and Williams County Job & Family Services. Two investigations – one joint probe by Bryan police and JFS and another by the district – are looking to determine whether duties were performed correctly by the bus driver, an aide and an administrative assistant.
