Jerky Scammer Loose

Wauseon Police is warning area businesses about a potential scam. Apparently, a man is going around to local gas stations, telling people he is a detective. He says he had bought some beef jerky at the store to make care boxes for troops overseas. But he returns the beef jerky, because it’s bad or moldy…officers say he actually had just taken it off the shelf. The man has hit stores in Toledo and Napoleon.
