Two first-degree felony charges, including attempted aggravated murder, have been brought against a Montpelier woman. A grand jury in Williams County recently indicted Amanda S. Heller. She allegedly tried to kill John Doe in April. She allegedly had a firearm under her control and used it to assist in the crime, according to the charge’s firearm specification. Additionally, there is a specification regarding the handgun’s forfeiture. Heller was also charged with a first-degree crime, aggravated burglary. She allegedly trespassed into an occupied building in April when John Doe was inside with the intent to conduct a crime, and she either physically harmed him or threatened to do so. The requirements for this count are the same as those for the charge of attempted aggravated murder.
