There could be some money coming to one area village… literally!
Continental Village Council on Tuesday night learned of the possibility of a new bank opening up shop in town.
An official at the Fort Jennings State Bank says the bank is seriously considering opening up a new branch bank in Continental. They plan a meeting soon to discuss it and lay out the plans.
Meanwhile, Huntington Bank has decided not to accept water bill payments from residents of Continental anymore, even though the bank charged a fee for doing so. Village officials say they are upset by that decision and feel that the village isn’t being served well by the bank in other matters as well.
In the meantime, residents can mail their water bill payments to the post office box number now listed on the water bill.
