FIREWORKS TESTING

It’s not the Fourth of July, but there will be some fireworks tonight anyway in Bryan.

The Bryan Times is reporting that Bryan Mayor Doug Johnson told the Bryan Board of Public Affairs on Tuesday that the city of Bryan will be testing small-shell fireworks in Bryan’s Recreation Park at about 8 o’clock tonight to figure out the correct fallout distance for the 2014 Day in the Park fireworks display.

Johnson says it’s being done to gauge visibility of the fireworks and to make sure descending debris does not reach nearby homes and other structures. He says about 20 fireworks will be discharged this evening, so grab a chair and come on out to see it.
