Early voting is already underway for the Nov. 5 election in Ohio.
County boards of elections offices are open for early voting during regular and any extended hours now through Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. Under Ohio law, all registered voters have the opportunity to vote early without stating a reason.
Both regular and extended hours vary from county to county.
Registered voters also have the opportunity to vote from the convenience of their own home by requesting an absentee ballot.
The ballots must be returned to the board of elections office in the voter’s county of resident by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day (Nov. 5) or, if sent by U.S. mail, postmarked by Nov. 4.
Absentee ballot applications are available at any board of elections office or may be requested by mail. They are also available online at www.ohiosecretaryofstate.com.
