EISEL NAMED CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

Jim Eisel has been named West Unity Cit­i­zen of the Year by the Cham­ber of Com­merce at the annual recog­ni­tion ban­quet at the Kissell Com­mu­nity Cen­ter.

Eisel grad­u­ated from Hill­top High School in 1979. He has a degree in auto and diesel mechan­ics from North­west­ern Busi­ness Col­lege in Lima.

He began work­ing for the Vil­lage of West Unity in 1994 in the street depart­ment. The fol­low­ing year he was pro­moted to depart­ment super­vi­sor, a job he still holds today.

In 1981, he joined the Brady Town­ship Fire Depart­ment and became assis­tant chief in 1995. In his leisure time he rides a Harley and likes to travel.
