Accident On 49

A Montpelier man is hurt in a crash Saturday evening, south of Edon. Officials tell reporters…Phillip Richmond, 26, was westbound on County Road H…while Bonnie Mills, 79, was northbound on Ohio 49. They say…Richmond failed to yield the right of way and his vehicle was struck by Mills’. Both vehicles went off the west side of the roadway. Both drivers sustained serious injuries and were taken by air ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Safety belts were in use for both drivers. Their conditions as of Sunday evening were not immediately available. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Williams County EMS. The crash remains under investigation.
