On The Ballot

Local issues and questions for the November General Election were certified in an emergency meeting of the Williams County Elections Board…but people won’t get the opportunity to vote on Sunday alcohol sales for the Third Rail Saloon. The saloon submitted signatures, but too many were inadmissible for the issue to go to ballot. Williams County officials say…with the inadmissible signatures removed, the petition was three short of making it onto the ballot. Otherwise, the board certified several issues throughout the county. Other issues include fire levies for several townships…as well as the Soil and Water Conservation District and senior center. An income tax in Bryan that was defeated in May was also approved for the November ballot.
