The Water Helped The System

The recent heavy rains may have been playing havoc with much of the county, including multiple closed roads, but it helped electric generation for Bryan. Bryan Electric Superintendent Jim Coressel told the Bryan Board of Public Affairs that a very dry fall impacted electrical generation at the Hydroelectric Plant, which contributes to the city’s power. Last week, a storm dumped at least 2.5 inches of rain on the area, and Tuesday another tenth of an inch fell, according to the National Weather Service.
