To Honor The Day

Members of the county came together to honor the lives of those lost in combat. during a Memorial Day parade and ceremony at Fountain Grove Cemetery. In Bryan, the mayor offered remarks about the importance of Memorial Day at the beginning of the city’s ceremony. After the speech, she asked for all veterans and active military personnel to come forward…and they were greeted with a standing ovation from those at the ceremony. The Bryan High School band was in attendance and performed the national anthem. Following that, representatives from groups such as the VFW, American Legion and Amvets provided the crowd with a few words about what Memorial Day means to them before presenting a wreath.
