Williams County commissioners agree to continue funding a water investigation.

The Williams County commissioners agree to continue funding a water investigation, though it anticipates being reimbursed by some other counties. The commissioners approved an agreement with the Department of the Interior at a cost not to exceed $29,400 dollars. The agreement runs through Sept., 2024. The water investigation is related to a proposed aquaculture facility in Pioneer. Williams County Commissioner Terry Rummel said he has been in discussion with members of the Ohio Michigan Indiana Council of Government about continuing the study to monitor the aquifer that supplies water to much of the region.
