Company behind proposed senior housing development in Bryan making its fourth application for funding to the state.

The company behind a proposed senior housing development in Bryan is making its fourth application for funding to the state. A year ago, Frontier Community Services, a Chillicothe-based provider of services to children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, came to the Bryan City Council with a proposed senior housing development. Officials at the time said the maintenance-free development is geared to seniors 55 and older, and is tentatively called Fountain Creek Senior Villas. The project will involve 50 single-story rental units. As proposed last year, Fountain Creek Senior Villas will be built on 9.2 acres along the South Portland Street extension to County Road C. The land is currently owned by the Isaac family. The estimated cost for development is $10 million dollars.
