Substance abuse recovery program may be coming to Hicksville.

A substance abuse recovery program by Inspiration Ministries may be coming to the soon-to-be vacated Vancrest of Hicksville property. Defiance County commissioners discussed the possibility at the recent meeting. Vancrest has offered commissioners the property at 401 Fountain St. after the nursing home/rehabilitation center moves from the south side of Hicksville to a new facility on Ohio 18 on the town’s east side. Commissioners have accepted the offer. Another talked about idea is the possibility of a backup clinical facility that could be used by Parkview physicians now leasing room at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville.
