Williams Co. Commissioners provide letter of support to county health department.

When the Williams County commissioners met Thursday, they agreed to provide a letter of support to the county health department as it seeks funding for a new building. According to an article in the Bryan Times, the commissioners met with Williams County Health Commissioner Oscar Hernandez, who reminded the board the health department has been working for three years on constructing a new building to combine the agency’s offices. He said the health department secured a $641,000 grant in the past and last year applied for a congressionally directed spending request to U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown’s office, D-Ohio, and was approved for $1 million.
