New toll collection system on Ohio Turnpike.

The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission announced it has started the process to gradually phase in a new toll collection system. The change started as a study in 2016 and is nearing the final stages of completion, resulting in the system being phased in over the next several weeks. The 241-mile Ohio Turnpike, designated as Interstate Routes 80, 90 and 76, will soon feature a combination of open road tolling lanes for E-Z Pass customers and a gated exit system for non-E-Z Pass customers who prefer to pay by cash or credit card.
