Liberty Center looking to hire life skills preparation teacher.

The next step of Liberty Center Local Schools’ preparedness initiative is leading toward the implementation of a life skills preparation teacher for the next school year. According to an article in the Bryan Times, the District Leadership Team (DLT) developed a mission statement two years ago that states “each child is challenged to discover and learn, prepared to pursue a fulfilling post-high school path and empowered to become resilient, lifelong learners who contribute to society.” What then followed was leadership teams discussing how the district meets its goals, and determining preparation is what will eventually lead to challenging and empowering the students. A major point of discussion of the teams has also included the fact not all students choose college as their career path and want the option of going to a trade school.
