Lake Erie anglers can expect 2024 fishing season to again offer world-renowned opportunities.

It’s an anglers delight. Lake Erie anglers can expect the 2024 fishing season to again offer world-renowned opportunities, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. In addition to a strong walleye population, a stable yellow perch population in Lake Erie’s west zone is expected to provide good fishing in 2024, an ODNR press release noted, while low catch rates are expected to continue in the central and east zones.
