Montpelier man charged with seven counts of rape.

A Williams County grand jury recently returned several indictments, including a Montpelier man charged with seven counts of rape. Ray Ramos, 53, was charged with the first-degree felony rape charges, which authorities allege occurred on March 15 and April 5. The charges state Ramos allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with another who is not his spouse and the other person was less than 13. There are also specifications with each charge that Ramos compelled the victim to submit by force or threat of force.
