Large flag raised along U.S 24 in Defiance County.

A large flag was run up a towering pole along U.S. 24 in Defiance Friday afternoon as the first part of the Defiance County Community Improvement Corporation’s (CIC) multi-phased project honoring veterans and promoting the area came to fruition. The flag raised on Commerce Drive property owned by Keller Logistics on the city’s northside measures 30 feet by 60 feet, part of the CIC’s “Four Flags of Freedom project.” The pole it flies on reaches 120 feet into the sky.
