The Toledo Lucas County Health Department said in a press release Tuesday that it plans to post “highly visible placards” outside the entrances to establishments that it says are operating without a valid food license. The department said that more than 100 food service operators in the county do not have the proper or valid license required by state law. TLCHD said the new initiative is intended to bring non-compliant food service operations into compliance as a part of its commitment to public health, as well as preventing foodborne illnesses.
