The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration forecast estimates this year’s algal bloom will be less severe than last year which includes Lake Erie. The NOAA National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science released a forecast citing a projected severity of three (out of 10), which is less severe than last year’s and is on the boundary of mild and moderate blooms.
