Bryan council approves change to pay schedule for volunteer fire dept.

Monday night, Bryan council agreed to change the pay schedule for the volunteer fire department and the employee annual premium for health insurance. It had been a few years since the salary schedule had been updated, with the last ordinance updating the schedule approved in 2022. The range goes from $11 an hour to $15 an hour depending on qualifications, with additional pay also being provided for emergency medical responder, emergency medical technician and hazardous materials technician.
