Ballot issue for Defiance County voters in Nov. for Victims Assistance Program.

When Defiance County voters look over their ballots for the Nov. 4th general election, they will see a countywide request for the county’s Victims Assistance program. The requests is for a new 0.25-mill property tax levy, which would remain on the books for five years, if approved. If voters pass the levy, it will raise $345,000 for the program. For the owner of a home valued at $100,000, the cost will be $8.75 a year.
