The Northwest Territory Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution has completed phase 1 of its 250th anniversary project honoring the 250th birthday of the United States next July 4, 2026. The compatriots’ service is the immediate four-county area of Williams, Defiance, Fulton and Henry counties. The compatriots selected to plant Princeton Elms, which were the original Liberty trees back in the 1770s during that turbulent time between the American colonies and the English King Charles III and Parliament.
