Defiance College again rallied the campus and community for its annual toy drive last week, supporting Children’s Lantern and its mission to serve foster, adoptive and kinship families across northwest Ohio. This marks the fifth year of the partnership, and the largest impact to date, benefiting 80 families and 310 children, according to a DC media release. Children’s Lantern began coordinating holiday support for families five years ago, assisting 17 families in its first year. That number has risen to 80 families for 2025. Defiance College joined the effort in 2023 through its Service Leaders program.
