Angola Fire

Flames early Friday morning destroyed a home and vehicle in Steuben County about 15 minutes from Angola.

Four people who were in the home at the time the fire broke out, were all able to escape safely.

Stephanie Holloway and her husband, Jason, along with their two children, 2 year old Hunter and 8 month-old Houston all made it out to safety. Their three dogs however, died in the fire.

The call came in for the blaze on Metz Road around 3 a.m Friday.

Firefighters say the large, two-story farmhouse was fully engulfed in flames when they got there.

The Red Cross is helping the family, who had been renting the house, which was built in 1913, for about two years.

Anyone who would like to help the Holloway family can contact the American Red Cross at (260) 484‑9336.
