Williams County Commissioners endorsed the health department’s request for a grant renewal to assist local adolescents in avoiding substance usage. The $125,000 federal award is spread over five years. Oscar Hernandez, the Williams County Health Commissioner, stated that the cash primarily supports the department’s ECHO (Educating Communities on Healthy Opportunities) Coalition program. Hernandez stated that the grant’s five-year cycle is about to expire.
