Seneca County seniors are staying independent and in their homes for longer thanks to increased local services and new financing, according to community officials. The impact is both immediate and growing. The Seneca County Commission on Aging has been assisting senior citizens for almost 30 years, beginning with just 30 meals a week. Just two years ago, the charity served roughly 1,000 meals per week; today, it serves an average of 3,000 meals each week, a significant increase.
