Recently, the Defiance County Common Pleas Court sentenced an Indiana man to prison for rape. Judge Joseph Schmenk sentenced 69 year old Thomas Cluster, of Butler, Indiana, to four to six years in prison for the first-degree crime. Additionally, Cluster was designated as a Tier III sexual offender, which means that after being released from prison, his residence would be permanently registered with the authorities. Morris Murray, the prosecutor for Defiance County, claims that in August 2020, Cluster had sex with someone on Ridenour Road in northwest Defiance County, forcing them to submit by force or fear of assault.
