Several programs in northwest Ohio are part of a statewide effort to keep children safe while riding their bikes.  Youth bike helmets are being distributed by the Bowling Green Bicycle Safety Commission. The Ohio Department of Transportation, the Honda USA Foundation, and the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics are supporting this.   There will be a first-come, first-served distribution of 100 helmets.  On the following days, helmets are available for pickup at the Bowling Green Community Center on Newton Road:  June 2: 2-4 p.m. June 4: 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 4: 10 a.m.-noon
