2-Vehicle Crash In Paulding County

A two-vehicle crash Sun­day evening in Pauld­ing County left a Hicksville woman with seri­ous injuries.

The Ohio High­way Patrol says it hap­pened Sun­day around 8:45 p.m. at U.S. 24 and Pauld­ing County Road 143 in Emer­ald Town­ship when a pick-up truck dri­ven by 19 year old Court­ney Schaf­fer and another pick-up truck dri­ven by 45 year old David Ashen­fel­ter of Flora, Indi­ana slammed into each other at the inter­sec­tion.

Schaf­fer was taken by air ambu­lance to Parkview Regional Med­ical Cen­ter in Fort Wayne.

Ashen­fel­ter and a pas­sen­ger, 44 year old Michelle Sou­p­ley, also of Flora, Indi­ana, were both taken by ambu­lance to ProMed­ica Defi­ance Regional Hos­pi­tal.

Troop­ers say alco­hol use is not sus­pected, and the crash is still being investigated.
