AUBURN MAY SEE MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM RISE FROM FORMER UTILITY BUILDING

A crumbling utility building in Auburn that’s been vacant for half a century find a new life… as a museum.

A developer wants to restore Auburn’s 80-year-old former electric utility building and turn it into a museum displaying 200 motorcycles.

The developer says he hopes to have the building renovated and open by 2015.

Just last summer, Auburn’s Mayor said he wanted to demolish the 4,620-square-foot building as it had become a liability the city no longer was interested in dealing with after a failed 13-year search for developers.
