The Highway Patrol announced on Friday that there would be a sobriety checkpoint in Williams County over the weekend. There was, and fortunately none of the over 500 vehicles processed at that checkpoint in Bryan Saturday night turned up an intoxicated driver. There were no arrests resulting from the checkpoint that was set up on US 127 just south of the Ohio 15 split north of Bryan between the hours of 9pm and midnight Saturday.
In addition to the checkpoint, troopers worked saturation patrols in the area, and thye report that there were no other arrests there as well. Also, The Ohio Investigative Unit did six site checks at establishments with liquor permits and no violations were found in any of them either.
