A man was hurt Sunday morning while trying to rescue livestock from a barn fire. It happened on Fulton County Road C early Sunday morning, around 3:30am. When firefighters got there, the barn was fully engulfed in flames. Clayton Foor rented the property, where he tended to a herd of goats. Foor ran inside to try to rescue as many goats as he could from the flames. It cost him in the form of some severe injuries. Foor suffered serious burns to his hands and face. He was treated at the scene by Fulton County EMS and then life flighted to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center’s burn unit, where he was last listed in serious condition. Much of the livestock was lost in the fire, but it didn’t spread to any adjoining buildings. The barn was completely destroyed. So far, the estimate of damage has not been added up. While the cause does not appear to be suspicious, it is still under investigation today.
