Bryan High School’s head football coach is quitting. Kevin Kline , who was the driving force behind the two most successful seasons in Bryan history and has the best winning percentage for a Golden Bears football coach, is turning in his resignation, saying that he has accepted a teaching position at Defiance High School where he will also be a member of the Bulldogs’ football coaching staff. Kline informed players of his decision in a team meeting on Tuesday and will officially turn in his resignation to the school today. He already lives with his family in Defiance, and he says the move will allow him to work closer to his family there. According to Kline, he isn’t yet sure what his exact role on the Defiance coaching staff will be, but told the Bryan Times that he would be coaching for the Bulldogs in some sort of assistant coach capacity beginning this fall.
