The search was on Wednesday evening for a 5-year-old boy who was reported missing from a home on Harrison Avenue in Defiance. He was eventually found unharmed at a local church. The boy’s mother reported the child missing Wednesday evening around 6:30. Police, Sheriff’s officers, fire crews, the highway patrol, an air ambulance, and a K9 unit all combed the area nearby. The boy was eventually found at the Church of the Nazarene on Jefferson Avenue. No word yet on just how he got there, but rescue crews say he may have gotten on a church bus which took him to the church.
