Dr. Marcia Sloan Latta will be the featured speaker during Northwest State Community College’s forty-third commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 11.
A native of Williams County, Latta began her career as a congressional aide and then did volunteer work in Costa Rica before beginning her career in the field of advancement. She currently operates a consulting firm, Latta Strategies, and also serves on the board of directors for Farmers & Merchants State Bank.
Latta has over twenty-five years of experience in philanthropic leadership. Under her guidance, Bowling Green State University’s centennial campaign raised nearly $150 million, the largest fundraising effort in northwest Ohio history. She has also served as a volunteer for numerous civic causes.
Dr. Latta and her husband, Bob, live in Bowling Green with their two daughters.
The commencement ceremony will recognize 476 graduates. The ceremony will take place outside, north of the Atrium, at 2 p.m.
