The Board of Directors of Cameron Memorial Community Hospital didn’t have to look very hard for the hospital’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. Connie McCahill has been the Chief Operating Officer at Cameron for the past three years. Now, she has been appointed by the board to the President and C.E.O. position, effective this Sunday. McCahill will take over for Board Chair Doctor David Goodwin who has served as the interim President and C.E.O. since March when Greg Burns was fired by the hospital board. McCahill, according to the hospital, brings over 30 years of clinical and executive healthcare experience to her new position. Besides her work at Cameron, McCahill has served in a number of leadership roles with Memorial Hospitals of South Bend. McCahill serves on the board of directors for the Steuben County YMCA and also on the board of the Angola Area Chamber of Commerce.
