The Paulding Police Department is investigating an arson at the village skate park. On Monday, they say someone placed a mattress on the middle skate ramp and set it on fire. The Paulding Fire Department rushed to put the blaze out. The park was immediately closed and must now remain closed while cleanup efforts are underway. When the ramp was originally built 10 years ago it cost $4,500. Village officials said the cost of a new ramp will be much more. Estimates are now being sought. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to call police at 419–399-3311.
