A man who was being sought by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department for not registering as a sex offender has been captured in Sawyer County, Wisconsin. 62-year-old Bruce Severance was arrested there by the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service. Severance was arrested for a violation of Wisconsin’s Sex Offender Registry law and booked into the Sawyer County Jail. He is also wanted by Steuben County officials for failure to register as a sex or violent offender in that county as well.
Severance remains in the Sawyer County Jail, as he awaits extradition back to Steuben County
