An OVI charge faces the man police say drove into a utility pole Sunday evening that caused a power outage. It happened on Cleveland Avenue near Ottawa Avenue. 22 year old Jose Alvarado of Napoleon was headed east when he lost control of his car. The utility pole was snapped in two and Alvarado’s car caught fire. He was able to get out and the fire was extinguished by emergency crews. Alvarado was taken to the hospital for treatment.
